It's been a long time since I have participated in Papertrey Ink's Monthly Blog Hop, so here is the inspiration photo Nichole shared for us to gleam our ideas from!
The challenge is to mark a card with your take on the photo using colors, patterns, or whatever triggers your mind when you see this photo! My 1st thought was the Jar Series w/ fillers was perfect for this, but I don't have any of those, so I more or less went with color & patterns.
For my card, I used some pattern paper to represent the inside of this trunk/basket.
Next the strip of Raspberry Fizz was for the flowers in the picture!
The gals dress in the picture is represented by blue scalloped 1.75" Limitless Layer die. I stamped a coaster with the circle die from the Limitless Layer 1.75" die with Ripe Avocado ink.
Finally I used punched out butterflies with my Martha Stewart Classic Butterfly Punch in Pure Poppy to represent that beautiful suitcase!
So that is my take on the picture!
Now I am off to see everyone else's take on this photo!
This is pretty Kristi...love the little cluster of sweet butterflies!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty interpretation!!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! tfs!!
ReplyDeleteLove the butterflies!
ReplyDeletePS - I replied to your question on my blog, but I will repeat myself here, just in case! I did stamp the image more than once & picked the one that lined up best. I recently picked up some thin acrylic blocks by Tim Holtz, and those really help me to line things up better (easier to see), though I did forget to use it today (hence the several stamp attempts). Give them a try...your fingers can get a bit inky, but overall i like the thinner ones better.
