Sketch DIY Notebook MIM #167

Hi there everyone!  It's been a little while since my last post!  I still have been crafting, just not blogging about it as much and with the end of school, it was just a tad bit crazy!

Anyways, I tried the Make It Monday this week with Erin and the DIY notebooks!  Super cute, as pretty easy like she said! Here is the link to see the process video Erin made.  I made mine a card sketch notebook that I can keep in my purse or laptop bag as I am out and about!  Here is what I made!

I used Scribbled Circles for the Images along with Wet Paint II for the "note this:" sentiment.
Then I used Simple Alphabet for the word "card sketches".
Aqua Mist Bitty Dot Patterned Paper was used for the spine and back of the notebook.

and for the inserts.... I used a couple different stamp sets to get these little pages, mostly Clip Tips & Scribbled Circles.... I also used a set by Kanani called Labels & Tabs (StudioL2e)

Everything came together really well I think.  When checking in throughout the week at everyone else's creations, I noticed some gals left extra patterned paper to wrap around to the front of the book.  I liked that idea, but decided to add a small velcro closure to ensure it stayed shut in my purse or bag.

Thanks for visiting!!  Have a blessed day!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Stampers Select White, Kraft, Aqua Mist Bitty Dot Patterned Paper
Ink: Aqua Mist & True Black Ink
Stamps: Scribbled Circles, Clip & Tips, Simple Alphabet & Labels & Tabs (by StudioL2e)
Other: Velcro Closure, Scor Tap

Make It Monday: 157

Make It Monday #157
DIY Cover Plates

I haven't participated in Papertrey's Ink Make It Monday on my blog for a while, so I thought I would give it a go!!  And this little lovely number even impressed myself, ha ha ha!

It was fun to brainstorm what dies I had that would work with this technique and it turned out the hexagons from the Honey Bees would work perfectly!  It is pretty simple execution.

EDITED TO ADD: THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS!  TRULY MADE MY DAY!!

I also added Glossy Accents to the Queen Bee as well as the "Hello" sentiment!
With a dash of Wink of Stella for some glittery shine!  :)

Have a wonderful day!

Kristi

Make It Monday #105

Here is my take on the Make It Monday Challenge!
This was a card a "cas'd from Pinterest!  The original creator used ribbon where I have glitter trim!  Ribbon & I do not get along well, so the glitter trim was a good substitute!

Supplies: (all PTI unless otherwise noted)
Paper: Stampers Select White
Stamps: Dot Spot & YOF: Lily of the Valley (sentiment)
Ink: True Black & Enchanted Evening (Stamped off)
Other: Martha Steward Glitter & Rhinestone

Make It Monday Challenge #80

Quick blog post just sharing the banner I made for my son Asher's 1st Birthday!

I used the Double Ended Banner from Papertrey Ink (PTI) to make the little flags!

It was quick & painless, and I packaged it up nicely to use on our next birthday cake!

So here is the birthday guy, can't post a pic of the cake and not him!

(Supplies for Birthday Banner)

Paper: Multicolor Cardstock from LSS
Dies: Double Ended Banner (PTI)
Stamp: AlphaBet Dies (Michael's $1 Spot)

Hello friend (MIM #63)

HELLO FRIEND!!

That is exactly what this card for MIM #63 is titled, Hello friend

To find information about this weeks MIM Video on Glittered Die Cuts click here.

Now, on to the card....

I did not have an Xyron Sticker Maker, so following suit of what some other crafter did, I used scor-tape. BUT, I wanted to add a little bit extra dimension to my clouds, so I made them striped glitter clouds!

Take a closer look!

How fun!  Love that little bee with the trail!

Anyways - just wanted to share!

Have a super blessed day!!
