To do or Not to Do, that is the question....

Well, someone I went to high school with noticed my cards on facebook and inquired about me possibly making wedding invitations!  First thought, "What? Me?"  Then second thought "Can I really do this?"  So with some googling and ogling over the internet, putting out advice questions on the Papertrey Ink Forum, I got lots of great advice and ideas!  I am going to go ahead and state my disclaimer now!

(View my other wedding invite post here)

THESE ARE NOT MY ORIGINAL DESIGNS!
I just did my take on something someone else has already created!

So the first card I cased is from Ashley Cannon-Newell and you can find her post here. And a picture of it below!

I did my take on the project (minus the actual stamping)
              Outside                                Inside Pocket fold
This first one is my favorite!  You can't tell but I used the Woodgrain Impression Plate on the top panel as well as on the inner Mat Stack 4!

Supplies:
Paper: Papertrey Ink Ocean Tides & Kraft Cardstock, Standard White Cardstock
Dies: Mat Stack 4 & Layerz Mat Stack 4
Punches: Martha Steward Butterfly Punch & Creative Memories Mini 4 Punch
Measurements:
Option 1 - Single Pocket Fold Card (this is the blue/brown card)
There is a small pocket that holds 3.5" x 2.5" reply card
The invitation mat is 3.75" x 4.75"
Measure 4.25" x 5" and will fit in a standard A2 card envelope
Optional: if another pocket is needed, you might be able to add this to the top panel and insert directions or registry details.

*************on to the next card*************

The next card I cased was from a gal on the PTI Forum that came highly recommended by other forum members! She was a couple of examples on her blog that are gorgeous!

Her name is Stephanie and you can find her blog here!
She was even gracious enough to answer a couple questions for me!
Thanks a million Stephanie!
So here is the set of invites that she did that I drew inspiration from:
(see I told you they were gorgeous!)

Well here is my take on it:
Outside
Inside

Supplies:
Paper: Papertrey Ink Ripe Advocado & Spring Moss and Standard White Cardstock, Kraft
Dies: Limitless Layers Circles
Punches: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Measurements:
Measure 3.75"x 8.5"
The 2 pockets insert measures 2.75" x 5.5"
The invitation is matted and will be printed on a 3.25" x 8" piece of cardstock.
There is a belly band that is used to keep the invitation closed and for decoration.

Well yeah!  That is it for me, let me know what you think!

And I will let you know how it goes (if I get the job per say) :D

  4. Wow. I would have a hard time choosing, though I love the colours on the first one and I love how you used the Mat Stack die on it as well.
